Julien Pettré is research scientist at INRIA, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (www.inria.fr) since 2006. He received M.S. degree in 2000. He prepared his thesis under the supervision of Jean-Paul Laumond and obtained his Ph.D. in 2003 from the University of Toulouse III in France. He then spent one 18 months post doc at VRlab, EPFL, Switzerland, headed by Daniel Thalmann. At INRIA in Rennes, he joined the Bunraku team headed by G. Dumont. His research interests are : crowd simulation, motion planning, autonomous virtual humans, computer animation and virtual reality.

Sebastiano Battiato is a full professor of Computer Science at the University of Catania. He received his degree in Computer Science (summa cum laude) in 1995 from the University of Catania and his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the University of Naples in 1999. From 1999 to 2003 he was the leader of the “Imaging” team at STMicroelectronics in Catania. He joined the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Catania in 2004 (respectively as assistant professor, associate professor in 2011 and full professor in 2016). He has been Chairman of the Undergraduate Progra m in Computer Science (2012-2017), and Rector's delegate for Education: postgraduates and Phd (2013-2016). He is currently the Scientific Coordinator of the PhD Program in Computer Science at the University of Catania. He is involved in research and directorship of the IPLab research lab (http://iplab.dmi.unict.it). He coordinates IPLab’s participation on large scale projects funded by national and international funding bodies, as well as by private companies. Prof. Battiato has participated as principal investigator in many international and national research projects. His research interests include Computer Vision, Imaging technology and Multimedia Forensics. He has edited 6 books and co-authored about 200 papers in international journals, conference proceedings and book chapters and has also been a guest editor of several special issues published in International Journals. He is also co-inventor of 22 international patents, reviewer for several international journals, and has been a regular member of numerous international conference committees. Dr. Francisco Imai is Color Imaging Fellow working for Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA, USA. After finishing his Ph. D. in Imaging Science at Chiba University, Japan he joined the Munsell Color Science Laboratory, Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, USA first as a post-doctoral fellow and later as senior color scientist. After working in spectral imaging capture and reproduction applied to museum imaging, Dr. Imai joined industry, first at Pixim, Inc. in Mountain View as a senior color scientist and afterwards the Computer Science Laboratory at Samsung R&D Center in San Jose, CA. In 2009 he joined Canon Development Americas Inc. in San Jose as a principal scientist and later manager and subsequently director of the computational imaging department at the Canon U.S.A. Inc. Innovation Center. Dr. Imai has authored in several book chapters, peer-reviewed journal papers and conferences in the fields of color and spectral imaging. Raimondo Schettini is a professor at the University of Milano Bicocca (Italy). He is head of the Imaging and Vision Lab. He has been associated with the Italian National Research Council since 1987, where he led the color imaging lab from 1990 to 2002. He has been a team leader in several research projects and published more than 300 refereed papers and eight patents about color reproduction, and image processing, analysis, and classification. He is a fellow of the International Association of Pattern Recognition for his contributions to pattern recognition research and color image analysis.
