Brief Bio
Dominique Bechmann is a professor of computer science at the Strasbourg University where she is leading the Computer Graphics and Geometry team, at the ICube CNRS Lab since 1997. From 1986 to 1989, she did her PhD at the IBM scientific centre (Paris, France) on geometric modeling of anatomic organs. In 1990, she did a postdoc at the T.J. Watson research centre (Yorktown Heigths, New York, USA) on deformation models. In 1991, she became an assistant professor.
She is personally involved on research activities in geometric modeling (deformations, topological modeling) and in virtual reality (interaction tasks)
. Since 2014, she is head of the French National Research Group (GdR IG-RV) in Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality that regroups almost 700 researchers.

Ana Paula Cláudio is an Assistant Professor at the Informatics Department of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL), and a researcher in BioISI- Biosystems & Integrative Sciences Institute (BioISI). She holds a Mathematics degree from FCUL and a PhD in Informatics from the same University. Her main research interests are on Computer Graphics in general, 3D modeling, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Serious Games, Digital Heritage, and she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses covering these topics.

Paul Richard is Associate Professor at University of Angers (France) since 2000. He received a M.S. degree and a PhD. in Robotics from the University Paris VI respectively in 1992 and 1996. Paul Richard leads the virtual reality research activities in the Laboratoire Angevin de Recherche en Ingénierie des Systèmes (LARIS) of the University of Angers. For almost two decades his research has focused on virtual reality, 3D interaction and human performance in virtual environments.

Manuela Chessa is a Assistant Professor at Dept. of Informatics, Bioengineering, Robotics, and Systems Engineering of University of Genova, Italy. She received her MSc in 2005, and the Ph.D. in 2009, under the supervision of Prof. S. P. Sabatini. Her research interests are focused on the study of biological and artificial vision systems, on the development of bioinspired models, and of natural human-machine interfaces based on virtual, augmented and mixed reality. She studies the use of novel sensing technologies (e.g. Microsoft Kinect, Leap Motion, Intel Real Sense) and of visualization devices (e.g. 3D monito rs, head-mounted-displays, tablets) to develop natural interaction systems, always having in mind the human perception. She has been involved in several national and international research projects. Alexandru Telea received his PhD in Computer Science from the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands,in 2000. Until 2007, he was an assistant professor in visualization and computer graphics at the same university. Until 2019, he was professor of computer science at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Since then, he is professor of visual data analytics at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. His interests include 3D multiscale shape processing, information visualization, and visual analytics for explainable AI

Andreas Kerren received the BS and MS degrees as well as his PhD degree from the Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany. He is currently a Full Professor in Computer Science at the School of Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics, Linnaeus University, Sweden, where he is heading the research group for Information and Software Visualization (ISOVIS). His main research interests include the areas of Information Visualization, Software Visualization, Visual Analytics, and Human-Computer Interaction. Dr. Francisco Imai is Color Imaging Fellow working for Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA, USA. After finishing his Ph. D. in Imaging Science at Chiba University, Japan he joined the Munsell Color Science Laboratory, Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, USA first as a post-doctoral fellow and later as senior color scientist. After working in spectral imaging capture and reproduction applied to museum imaging, Dr. Imai joined industry, first at Pixim, Inc. in Mountain View as a senior color scientist and afterwards the Computer Science Laboratory at Samsung R&D Center in San Jose, CA. In 2009 he joined Canon Development Americas Inc. in San Jose as a principal scientist and later manager and subsequently director of the computational imaging department at the Canon U.S.A. Inc. Innovation Center. Dr. Imai has authored in several book chapters, peer-reviewed journal papers and conferences in the fields of color and spectral imaging. Dr. Imai has also been actively involved in conference organization by being the General Chair of Digital Photography Conference of SPIE/IS&T Electronic Imaging in 2010 and 2011, the General Chair of IS&T/SID Color and Imaging Conference in 2010, the General Chair of OSA Imaging Systems and Applications in 2013, Chair of the International Symposium Multispectral Color Science (MCS) in 2005, 2006 and 2012, Technical Program Chair for IS&T/SID Color and Imaging Conference in 2009, Area co-chair for VISAPP in 2013 and 2014, program chair for VISAPP from 2015 to 2018, review committee member for ICCV 2011, CVPR 2011, ICIAP 2011, AIC 2005 and 2013, CCIW 2013, CGIV 2012, 2010 and 2008, Italian Color Conference, Spanish Color Conference and member of the MCS steering committee since 2006. Dr. Imai is the recipient of Itek Award from the Society for Imaging Science and Technology in recognition of the Outstanding Student Paper published by the Society. Dr. Imai became a fellow of the Society for Imaging Science and Technology in 2013 for significant contributions to the advancement of color reproduction and multispectral imaging. Alain Trémeau is Professor at University Jean Monnet and Vice-Rector for International Relations. He is member of the Laboratoire Hubert Curien (UMR 5516). His research activity covers several topics and applications related to color imaging, color science and computer vision. He published numerous book chapters and articles in the field of color science and recently in the domain of cultural heritage. He coordinates two international master degrees in the fields of color science and computer vision (COSI and 3DMT).

Basile Sauvage obtained a Master of Science in 2002 and a PhD in Applied Mathematics in 2005 at INP-Grenoble, France.
Since 2006 he is Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Strasbourg.
His research topics include texture analysis and synthesis, acquisition and treatment of 3D objects' appearance, geometric modeling, and multiresolution analysis.

His research interests include geometric modeling, real-time rendering and computer animation.
